Knitting Pattern for a classic raglan sweater with a round neck and a funky frill-border over the whole body and one sleeve in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL

Structure:
The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch top down. To shape the round neck, the first centimeters of the yoke are worked back and forth in rows with additional increases for the round neck. As soon as the round neck is closed to the round, the yoke is finished in rounds until the sleeves are separated from the body. Now the body is finished in one piece in rounds too and a hem in 2x2 ribbing is attached to the body. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up again and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in rounds and finished with a cuff in 2x2 ribbed pattern. The round neck is finished with a collar in 2x2 ribbed pattern too. Last but not least, the highlight of the sweater is worked: the frill border. The frill border is first worked separately and finished with an i-cord-edging and then attached to the body of the sweater.
The fit of the sweater is slightly oversized with a positive ease of 5 to 15 cm and quite voluminous sleeves which tighten at the cuffs. The body is short and the frill-border creates an interesting, romantic but also a little bit funky look and makes a nice contrast to the simple sweater design.

Level of difficulty: easy and perfect for beginners
